Reiki

Reiki is a non-invasive healing modality. Think acupuncture without the needles. Sessions can be either hands on or hands off, which ever you are comfortable with, it’s your choice. Although Reiki has been around for over 2000 years, the method that is practiced today was developed by Mikao Usui in 1922 and is the predominant method used by practitioners around the world.

Like water, energy not only surrounds us but is a part of us. When we experience physical injury or emotional pain it throws that energy off causing blockages to form. With time those blockages cause various illnesses to develop. Reiki works to remove those blockages and restore the natural flow of our body’s energy. This deepens your relaxation, brings you clarity, eases chronic pain, detoxifies the body, accelerates the natural healing process, and can help slow or prevent the progression of disease.

Crystals may also be used during a session to intensify the energy flow and also provide natural grounding once the session ends.

Chakra Balancing

There are 7 main Chakras, or energy centers, in our bodies. Each Chakra is associated with specific organs, endocrines, issues, and emotions. When a Chakra is blocked or out of balance it will cause a negative effect on your physical, emotional, and/or spiritual well being. Through the use of a combination of Reiki, Crystals, and Meditation these blockages can be removed and balanced. Once the Chakras are in balance the healing can begin. During a Chakra Balancing session, I will also give you techniques such as aromatherapy, tonal therapy, or color therapy to help you maintain that balance on your own.

Meditation

There is written documentation of meditation being practiced as far back as 1500 BC. As prayer is a form of meditation, it crosses all forms of philosophies and religions. Meditation is not simply a shutting off of your thoughts. It is about mindfulness and learning how to focus and expand on one thought, emotion or concept at a time.

With practice the benefits are many. Meditation reduces stress, promotes emotional health by counteracting negative thoughts, promotes physical health by boosting the immune system, enhances self awareness, improves focus and attention, helps with sleep issues, helps control pain, lowers blood pressure and improves intuition and creativity. Please remember that no one is perfect when they start their meditation practice. It takes time and patience to train our minds.

Meditation classes are offered in 6 week blocks. This gives you the foundation for a lasting individual practice by introducing you to various forms of breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques.
